I am so excited to be opening our doors in late August 2016 to welcome your child. With over ten years’ experience as a trained Waldorf Kindergarten teacher, I have a solid foundation of understanding of the young child. I recognize the need for a home child care that focuses on providing the opportunities for your child to develop socially, emotionally, and physically, while honoring and understanding the enfolding of his/her development. All this to be done in a warm, loving family environment that focuses on "life" as the curriculum. For more information about a Lifeways model of childcare click here:
I prioritize creating a working relationship with you, the parents, that will lovingly support your child We will communicate often, share anecdotes of your child's day, and I will endeavour to send pictures of moments from their day as often as I can. I feel incredibly grateful for being chosen to provide the care of your most valued treasure.
Please Note: Our extended family includes our gentle retriever cross dog, two cats, and a cockatiel, so animal allergies must be absent.

Throughout my many years of teaching, I have seen time and time again how a child is nurtured in nature; how much calmer and grounded a child is after having walked through the woods, and played in the undergrowth. I intend to meld opportunities such as these in the Sifton Bog, just a mere 400 metres from my home, within the safety and security of the rhythm and routine of our daily schedule. These are the foundational years of childhood. With my knowledge and understanding of childhood development, I will guide your child’s learning through: imitation and gesture, rich language arts, and by providing the opportunities for strengthening and mastering their physical body. Our lovely, shaded, big backyard will afford opportunities for gardening, building a sandbox, and wheeled fun. We offer wholesome, home-cooked meals, organic whenever possible, and can cater to the gluten free or allergic child. Our indoor environment is rich and natural to allow the unfolding of your child's imagination and self-discovery. Our day will include lots of singing, stories, puppet shows, guided movement, crafts, baking, JOY and LOVE.
